Ages 14–17
Youth Division
A competitive pathway for emerging players to represent their states, gain exposure, and experience organized regional and national competition.
Participation by minors will require parental or legal-guardian consent, eligibility verification, appropriate screening, youth-protection procedures, and approved event-safety policies.
Ages 18–34
Prime Division
The principal open-age division for athletes seeking high-level state-versus-state competition and national visibility.
Ages 35 and older
Legends Division
A division for experienced players who still possess the skill, competitive drive, leadership, and state pride to compete.

Core Game Rules
Originz League games use a target-score format designed to keep competition intense, reward efficient play, and create a distinct progression from state competition through the national championship.
Games are played to a required point total rather than being decided solely by the expiration of a traditional game clock. The first team to reach the target score for that level of competition wins.

Personal Fouls
Each player is permitted up to 6 personal fouls. A player is disqualified from the game upon committing a seventh personal foul. This individual disqualification threshold reflects the League's shorter active roster and is intended to reduce unnecessary roster depletion while still penalizing repeated fouling. It is not a team-foul limit.
Clock Rules
The shot clock is 30 seconds. The offensive team must advance the ball across half court within 8 seconds. Failure to attempt a valid shot before the shot clock expires is a shot-clock violation, and failure to cross half court within 8 seconds is a backcourt timing violation.
Clock Violations After Timeouts Are Exhausted
Once a team has used all of its available timeouts, later shot-clock or eight-second violations result in penalty free throws for the opposing team in addition to the normal change of possession. A timeout cannot be used after a violation has occurred to erase that violation.
Rules remain subject to final legal, officiating, safety, broadcast, venue, and competition review before official league play begins. These are original Originz League competition rules.
